Pray for Youth Pastors and Senior Pastors

Pray that senior pastors and youth pastors would be united in the fight for this generation.

One specific area of prayer that is particularly important right now is the work of senior pastors and youth pastors/youth workers.

Youth pastors and youth workers often find themselves fighting the battle alone. For whatever reason, other church leaders and parents are not quick to get involved in youth ministry. They might feel like they don't have anything to offer the youth group, or they may simply not know what they can do to help. The youth pastor then turns into the sole person responsible for everything from logistical details to ministry.

Senior pastors are veteran ministers with a wide variety of experiences that could prove invaluable to a church's youth group. With the help and support of their senior pastors, many youth ministries have flourished and reached countless young people.

Pray that senior pastors and youth pastors would be united in the fight for this generation. Pray for senior pastors, that they would see just how desperate the situation is and have a heart to reach young people. Pray for youth pastors, that they would give their whole heart to their ministry no matter what level of support they receive and that they would find creative ways to involve the senior pastor of their church in their work.

Pray also for parents, that they would gain a heart to reach not just their own teens, but their teens' friends. And pray that adults without children of their own would become mentors and get involved in other ways to impact this generation.
